How Does Booking a Boudoir Photo Shoot Work?

So, you’re ready to book your very own boudoir photo shoot! That’s great! But where do you start?

I got you! So, the first step is a phone consultation. This call should only last about 15-20 minutes and I use it to give you all of the basic information that you need! I can also answer any questions you have. This is also when we pick your date if you’re ready to book!

Booking the right date for you depends on your answer to this question: is there a date you’d need your products in hand by? For instance as an anniversary or wedding gift? It’s best to have your photo shoot 4-6 weeks in advance. I typically have your photos edited within a few days of your photo shoot, but sometimes products can take some time to get back. In order to ensure there’s no delays, 4-6 weeks is the best time.

In order to be considered fully booked, you’ll have to complete two steps. The first is payment of your session fee. This is typically done at the end of your phone consultation. You’ll also need to sign our service contract. Once those steps are complete, you’re on the schedule!

Another step we’ll take on the phone is scheduling your shopping trip! This trip is an integral part of our process because it helps alleviate the pressure of finding the right outfits and also brings you comfort by getting to know your photographer a bit better!

How Do I Pick The Right Outfits for my Boudoir Photo Shoot?

What does finding the perfect outfit entail?

The short answer: being true to yourself!

Most people think that boudoir is all about lingerie, but it doesn’t have to be! If you’d feel more comfortable in an oversized sweater and knee high socks, perfect! Tank top and panties, hell yeah! Naked as a jaybird, let’s do it!

If lingerie isn’t your scene and you really don’t care for giving it a shot, that’s perfectly fine too! Many bikinis can also look great during a shoot! Just make sure that they don’t have a pattern and are mostly one color. A tank top or button up shirt with cute panties can also be very sexy! Sweaters give off a cozy sexy vibe, especially when paired with knee high or over-the-knee socks!

If you’re new to lingerie, but would like to wear it for your shoot, don’t even worry!

Our all-inclusive experience includes a shopping trip! Together, you and I will select pieces that are absolutely perfect for you. You’ll get to find out how they make you feel in real time, instead of ordering things online and hoping they work out! I’ll be there for every step of it to help.

To me, this is a huge benefit because not only do you get an expert perspective in helping you make your selections, but we get some extra time to get to know each other! Boudoir is a sensitive, vulnerable experience, and knowing your photographer definitely helps with comfort!
