If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it 100 times: boudoir is for everyone.
But is that how I really feel? Drumroll… no. No, it isn’t.
There are definitely people that I believe don’t deserve to step foot in my studio. Maybe find someone else who is okay with these things, but it’s not me. Maybe turning people away is bad business. Gotta be honest with you, I don’t care. Some things are more important than money.
If you’re racist: stay the fuck away from my studio.
If you’re homophobic: stay the fuck away from my studio.
If you make fun of people for their looks: stay the fuck away from my studio.
And honestly, stay the fuck out of my life as well. Aside from the obvious, which is that these are horrible mindsets to have, there are many reasons you shouldn’t book with me if you have an issue with this.
My team deserves to feel comfortable. If you say something out of pocket about race or the LGBTQIA+ community, I will kick you out. Which means you wasted your own time, so not booking with me saves you that trouble.
If you make fun of the way people look and I photograph you, it feels hypocritical to me. Boudoir is about helping people see their beauty. If you’re out there with my photo as your profile picture on Facebook and you go on a rant about someone’s appearance, you’re poorly representing me along with being an asshole. I’d prefer that you not be an asshole, but if you must, please be an asshole without representing my business.
We like to keep things positive and happy in our studio. So keep your yucky vibes to yourself.
