A couples boudoir photo shoot is so much fun all by itself, but with proper planning, you can make it a whole date night!
All couples struggle with various situations in life. Finances could be stressing you out. Your role at your job could make you lose sight of who you are as a partner. Time apart could make you feel distanced. Maybe the knowledge that one day you’ll want to look back on when you were younger and so in love with each other. Whatever your reason is for pursuing couples boudoir, it’s valid and you’re welcome here!
But if I may be so bold…why stop there? Picture this with me:
You wake up on the day of your photo shoot, nervous but also really excited. You know at the very least you’re going to feel pampered and have fun. You eat a light breakfast so you don’t feel so full.
You show up to the studio. I probably say some dumb shit like “Geez, it’s bright out here.” Because I’m awkward, let’s not dwell on it. We do the greetings, it’s so nice to finally meet you! I introduce you to your hairstylist/makeup artist. We take a look at the outfits you’ve brought. You’re gonna look amazing!
You sit in the chair for your hair/makeup. You tell the stylist what kind of look you’re going for. The stylist gets started. We all start talking about whatever subject you’d like, varying from the standard “What do you do for work?” to the outrageous “I don’t understand why I burp all the time. It doesn’t matter what I eat or drink, I’m just bumpy.” We laugh, get to know each other. Hey, wait… the nerves are pretty much gone.
Your hair and makeup is complete and you look fantastic! We do the photo shoot. You guys have so much fun! We double check your hair and makeup and you both get dressed into fancy date night clothes. You go out to dinner at your favorite restaurant, feeling so electric with love for each other. It’s basically the best dinner ever, but you’re not sure if it’s because the food is actually that good or because you just feel amazing. You also look amazing, so that’s probably part of it.
Dinner ends. You leave the restaurant holding hands and acting so lovey dovey that it makes onlookers want to barf. You go home and… ya know… do stuff that adults do. I’m not tryin to be in your business.
See? What a glorious day that was. Aren’t you ready for your ultimate date night?!
